About
Liz Morasso, LCSW (she, her, hers)
I am dedicated to helping individuals and families manage medical conditions. In addition to providing therapy services, I offer clinical supervision to those pursuing licensure in California and consult with health organizations, facilities, and other groups on designing and delivering person-centered care.

My personal experience with lupus and rheumatoid arthritis during my teenage years has given me a unique perspective on the challenges of managing health conditions. Over the course of 13 years, I have specialized in working with teens and adults who are coping with a range of conditions, including cancer, diabetes, and rheumatologic diseases, in both pediatric and adult settings.

In therapy, I take an evidence-based approach, utilizing techniques such as EMDR, mindful self-compassion, and CBT to create a therapeutic partnership that fosters healing and well-being. My style is warm, collaborative, and attentive, and I often incorporate humor to create a safe and comfortable space. I believe in the importance of authentic connection and exploration, seeing therapy as a collaborative journey between therapist and client.

Beyond my work as a therapist, I am also a speaker and writer, passionate about sharing knowledge and advocating for those impacted by medical conditions. I've had the honor of presenting to both local and national audiences on topics such as transitioning from pediatric to adult care, supporting siblings and caregivers, patient advocacy, and mental health considerations for those with medical conditions and their families. In addition to my speaking engagements, I've facilitated support groups for organizations such as Arthritis Foundation, Lupus LA, The Painted Turtle Camp, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, and UCLA. I have co-authored numerous academic publications and abstracts and have written many non-academic articles.

In my work, I am committed to helping people find their way towards healing and well-being. Whether you are dealing with a medical condition yourself or supporting someone who is, my goal is to provide you with the tools and support you need to navigate the challenges ahead.
